The 5
The five represents change and adaptation as it is the middle of the sum of nine and acts as the fulcrum or tipping point. There are four numbers before five and four after. The five is the pentagon. It is the five pointed star, and it is the human with a head and four limbs. The human body can be lined up with the center of a pentagram and each limb and the head matches each point. Each point on a pentagram represents the five elements, and contains within it’s center a pentagon. The human is a star. Hue-mens are hues of light. We are light beings. There’s pentagons on our birth certificate. The pentagon is a network of interactions between humans. When you stop at a crosswalk, the sign for pedestrian traffic is a pentagon. These are not coincidences.
Pythagoras believed that five was symbolic for marriage because it has feminine and masculine traits. The Sikhs had males wear five sacred objects. Feng Shui means the five elements in Chinese. The pentagram is used frequently by Wiccans. There are also many gods associated with the number five. The Babylonian god of wisdom—Ishtar; the god of wine and celebration in Greek mythology—Dionysus; The roman god of war—Mars; and the father of lightning bolts in Norse—Thor; are all associated with the number five.
The number four symbolizes division and exile, while the number five symbolizes unification and redemption. In the Torah, which is the first five books of the bible, there are four different stories, and the fifth book summarizes the first four. In Zechariah 2:10 of the bible it says “for I have scattered you like four directions of the heavens.” We have five senses, five fingers on each hand, and five toes on each foot. On the hand, the four fingers are separate from the thumb. The number five is another form of the number fourteen, which is a one and a four. The one thumb is what brings the other four fingers together. There are five elements, and the element ether is what brings the other four elements, water, fire, wind, and earth, together. In this way, the number five is the unified four. Likewise, the number three is the unifier of the number two, which represents the two aspects of duality, such as good and bad, and light and dark.
All of this and more is explained in The Significance of the number five on betemunah.org. This correlation corresponds to the way that transcription goes from a five end to a three end in DNA synthesis. Five is also the first number that contains an even and odd number: the two and the three. Each human body cell has forty-six chromosomes. Each sex cell has only twenty-three chromosomes. The mother and the father each give there offspring one set of twenty-three chromosomes. The two digits in twenty-three add up to five, and the two digits in forty-six are a sum of ten. Humans are the only species that have this number of chromosomes. Different animals and plants all have different numbers of chromosomes in there sex and body cells. In numerology, someone who see’s the number twenty-three a lot may be a light worker.
The conventional star is a five pointed star, which emits light. The number twenty-three has to do with light and light work. Carbon, which is in every living thing, forms carbon chains with other elements such as hydrogen, nitrogen, and oxygen. Some of these chains are rings that take the shape of hexagons and pentagons. These structures are seen most notably in DNA, which contains a nitrogenous base, a sugar, and a phosphate group. The nitrogenous base, sugar, and phosphate group together are what’s called a nucleotide. The nitrogenous bases (nucleosides) of DNA have two categories: Pyrimidines, and purines.
The pyrimidines are single hexagon carbon rings; the purines are hexagonal carbon rings with pentagonal ones attached to them. The pyrimidines are Cytosine, Thymine, and Uracil. Uracil is part of RNA but not DNA. Purines make up Adenine and Guanine. The sugar of a nucleotide is called a pentose because it has the shape of a pentagon. If an apple is sliced in half it will have five places where seeds are located in it’s core. The number five deals with regeneration and fertility. When the limb of a starfish is severed, it will grow back, whereas the severed limb will grow into a whole new starfish. Flowers often times have five petals.
The fifth planet in our solar system is Jupiter, but in astrology it vibrates to a three. Again, we see a correspondence between five and three. Jupiter has a magnetic personality and is very loud. This planet makes the most noise out of all the other planets, and it is by far the biggest one with the most moons. It is interesting that while mercury is the first planet in the solar system, it is said in astrology to vibrate with a frequency of five. From this we see a correlation between one and five. This one and five together is fifteen, and each digit in fifteen is a sum of six. The fifteen that is created through mercury is what turns five into six. Mercury deals with fast learning, quick thinking, and can see things from the angles of all the other planets after it. Mercury is the roman god for communication, business, trade, and money. The fifth sign of the zodiac is Leo, and goes from July 23rd to August 22nd. Leo is represented by a lion. Leo’s are primal, and rich with creativity. They are courageous and are always seeking attention. Leo is a fire sign, and Leo’s like to be the center of attention much like the sun is the center of the solar system. This is yet another correspondence between the numbers one and five.
When a five is wrote down, it is wrote from the top to the bottom just like the six. The pentagon comes from the hexagon and eventually turns back into a hexagon. Likewise, the number five comes out of six and eventually goes back to it. The five and the six is wrote from the top to the bottom. The number five has straight lines at it’s top that create a ninety degree angle, while the bottom half of this number has a curve that is configured in the same direction as the curve on the number nine. The fact that five is wrote from top to bottom like the six, but that it has a curve in the same configuration as the nine shows that it contains components of both the six and the nine. The straight lines at it’s top are masculine, while the curve at it’s base is feminine. The five goes down like the six, but has the potential to move up in the same direction as the nine.
The E is the fifth letter in the alphabet, and E represents the number five. The lower case e is a mirror image of the number nine with the exception that the lower case e does not contain a full circle at it’s top but a half circle. The way that an arc is half of a circle is similar to the way that a pentagon is half of a hexagon. The fact that there is an arc in a lowercase e is not a coincidence. The human is a light being and an arc of light.
In the lowercase e, the arc is at the top of the letter and not the bottom, signifying that it has the potential to progress upward. Although the e and the five have the potentialities of the nine, they are configured facing to the right like the six. The number six is facing the opposite of nine in every direction. The six and the nine is symbolic for the ying and the yang of karma, therefore; they are the polar opposites. On the other hand, the six and the nine are just two extremes of the same thing. This idea is expressed through the law of correspondence, which states “as above so below.”
In the tarot, the number five means that someone does not have much control over there life. The number five being a lack of control and an imbalance in life is due to the fact that fives can be known to have a shallow understanding of a topic before they jump to the next one. Fives are always trying new things, and they don’t like to do one thing for very long. A five in the tarot could mean that this person is suffering a mental, physical, or spiritual decline. The five in tarot means that the individual needs to look within to overcome challenges that they are facing on there life path. Seeing that five is the tipping point in the cardinal numbers between the first four and the last four numbers from one to nine, it is not hard to see why fives would run in to hardships before change is made that results in positive outcomes. The reason we are here is to learn from our mistakes and to live out the human experience along with all the challenges and grief that comes with it. Adversity and hardship is the tipping point that pushes people to become better versions of themselves.
The 9
The nine represents completion, and the furthest limits that one can go. This truism is represented by phrases like a cat having nine lives or going the whole nine yards. Nine is the end just before a new beginning. It is no coincidence that neuf means nine and new in French. In German, neu means new, and neun means nine, whereas; in Spanish nueve means nine and nuevo means new. In English, neo means new. The average time for a pregnancy is nine months. In some mythologies, the number nine is connected to the underworld. The connection is that earth is the underworld below the heavens, and it takes an average of nine months to enter a new life. While one has an individual vibration, nine has a universal one. The number nine can be found throughout the universe. It is the ultimate source of all creation. Everything comes from nine and everything goes back to nine. The nine is pure energy that when turned upside down, projects light onto creation through the number six.
The digits of any number times nine can be summed and reduced down to nine. This is because nine is the highest vibration and retains it’s state no matter what number it is multiplied by. Every number preceding nine can be added to get nine. 1+2+3+4+5+6+7+8=36 and 3+6=9. All the numbers that make up the meta physical realm in vortex math, the three, six, and nine, when cubed, equal nine or can be reduced to nine.
The foot is twelve inches. The digits in twelve only add up to three, but one square foot is 144 inches. One cubic foot equals 1728 cubic inches. One square yard is 1296 inches. all of the digits in these measurements are a sum of nine, with the exception of the foot, the number of minutes in an hour, and the number of hours in a day. However, sixty minutes times twelve, the number of hours in half a day, is 720 minutes. seven hundred-twenty minutes times sixty seconds is 43,200 seconds. Furthermore, sixty minutes times twenty-four, the number of hours in a day, is 1440 minutes. 1440 minutes times sixty seconds is 86,400 seconds. Again, all of the digits in these measurements add up to and reduce down to nine.
In geometry, the circumference of a circle is 360 degrees. There is 360 degrees of an arc, and 360 times sixty minutes is 21,600 minutes of arc. 21,600 minutes of arc times sixty seconds is 1,296,000 seconds of arc. The equilateral triangle is 180 degrees. The circle and the square are 360 degrees. The pentagon is 540 degrees. The tetrahedron is 720 degrees. The cube is 2160 degrees. The octahedron and the star tetrahedron is 1440 degrees. The icosahedron is 3600 degrees, and the dodecahedron is 6480 degrees. Every one of these polygons have degrees containing digits that add up to and reduce down to nine.
In astronomy, a great year is 25,920 years. What is most fascinating about this is that the two and five can be added together to get seven, and the nine and two can be summed up to eleven. Likewise, the seven and eleven equal nine. All the time periods in the great year, the twelve zodiacs, contain numbers that correspond to the degrees of polygons who’s digits equal nine when reduced to a single number. All of the information about geometric shapes, measurements, time periods, and more is explained in great detail in a YouTube video created by after school, hosting Randall Carlson. Furthermore, there used to be nine planets, but in 2006, Pluto was changed from a planet to a dwarf planet.
In astrology, nine is associated with mars, which governs ambition, energy, and action. The ninth zodiac is Sagittarius, which is positioned between Capricorn and Scorpius. Sagittarius is Latin for archer. Its constellations brightest star, Kaus Australis, means bow in Arabic and southern in Latin. Sagittarius runs from November 22nd to December 21. The number nine being Sagittarius, the constellation that symbolizes an archer, makes a lot of sense. The nine is the farthest that a single number can go. Because of this, it represents the furthest limits that creation can go. When creation reaches it’s furthest limits, it must rebound.
Nine represents the furthest that creation can expand before it snaps back just like how a bow is pulled back as far as it can before it shoots an arrow in the opposite direction. The meaning of Kaus Australis gives a hint as to which direction this arrow is moving. The nine spirals up and is also like a bow. Remember how when the nine is reversed, it shines light down on the lower planes in the form of a six. Once this spiral or bow reaches it’s top it snaps back down, and the arrow symbolizes which direction this light or lightning is moving. Sagittarians are said to be full of energy and curiosity, and they have a calling for exploration. The number nine has the highest energy and the highest potential to journey across the cosmos.
In the alphabet, the I is the ninth letter. The letter I says a lot about the nature of the number nine. When the letter I is said like a word, it is a physical eye. The nine is above all other numbers, and it is essentially looking down on creation. Much like how people say that they can get an eagle eye’s view from above, the nine has the same view. Also interesting to note, is that the H is the eighth letter in the alphabet. The capital H looks like two capital Is with a bridge between them. The lowercase i is a line with a dot. The light matrix and physical reality is made up of lines and dots. Ones and zeros are the number versions of lines and dots. This simple line and dot form is what makes up the entire matrix of reality. A dot when drawn out is a line. This is the basics of art or any form that takes shape. The lowercase i being the ninth letter in the alphabet is symbolic for how nine is all encompassing. The nine is the highest vibration and represents the matrix of existence.
In religion and mythology the number nine is a defining theme. The number nine is associated with growth, spiritualism, and knowledge. In Norse mythology, a man by the name of Odin hung from Yggdrasil, the world tree, for nine days and nights to become profoundly wise and knowledgeable. In Greek mythology, creativity and art was influenced by nine muses. In Egyptian mythology, the underworld was watched over by nine gods. In Christianity, the holy spirit contains nine fruits. The nine fruits are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. In Hinduism, the goddess, Durga, has nine forms, which each represent the many aspects of feminism and power. Lastly, in Buddhism, nine stages lead to enlightenment.
In the tarot, the number nine is the hermit. The hermit symbolizes the nature of the number nine who goes off into the woods alone in search of a higher spiritual purpose. This effort is taken with the intention of returning after reaching enlightenment to teach about what was discovered. This is much like Plato’s Allegory of the Cave, in which he talks about a situation where men who lived in a cave there whole life with a fire over and behind them could see nothing but the shadows, because they where chained down and around there necks in such a way that they could not turn there heads.
Because the shadows were all that they ever saw, they thought that the shadows where all that existed. But, if a man where freed from his chains and walked out of the cave he would discover that the shadows where more than just shadows. Plato then says that it would be his duty to return to the darkness of the cave to enlighten the ones that where left behind. The shadow trait or negative trait of someone with the number nine is that they can sometimes get lost and never fulfill there true purpose, but when the nine comes through, they complete there mission on earth and this puts in motion a new cycle starting with the number one.
